A small village and a weak neighbour. Gather wood and food, train swordsmen, and destroy the enemy town centre.
Goal: destroy the enemy town centre — red banner, top right.
Tap to select or to give an order. Drag to pan the map. Send villagers to a tree, to berries or to gold. Select the barracks to train soldiers. Tap an enemy to attack it.
Tap a unit or a building. Drag to pan the map.

How to play

  1. Tap a villager, then tap a tree, a berry bush or a gold vein — they gather on their own and carry every ten units back to the town centre.
  2. Select the town centre to train more villagers. Each costs 50 food and pays for itself within a few trips.
  3. Select a villager, tap “Build barracks”, then tap an open spot. It costs 150 wood and takes twelve seconds to raise.
  4. Select the finished barracks to train swordsmen, archers or riders. “All soldiers” gathers your entire army with one tap.
  5. With soldiers selected, tap an enemy building or unit to attack it. You win the level when the enemy town centre falls — and lose when yours does.

Realm of the Crown is a free real-time strategy browser game on DropPlay in which players build a medieval village, gather wood, food and gold, and raze the enemy town centre across five levels. It follows the genre's classic build loop: villagers harvest resources and raise barracks, barracks train swordsmen, archers and riders, and a population cap of 30 forces a standing choice between economy and army. The enemy produces on its own and sends attack waves on a fixed timer that grow with every level. Realm of the Crown runs straight in the browser on desktop, tablet and phone — the whole game is played with taps and drags, with no download and no sign-up.

Tips & strategy

  • Send every starting villager to food first, not gold. Food buys more villagers, and each extra gatherer compounds across the whole level.
  • Archers have 130 range, swordsmen 16. A mixed group is far stronger than the sum of its parts: the swordsmen hold the enemy in place while the archers shoot undisturbed.
  • Riders move at 92, nearly twice as fast as anything else. That is exactly what they are for — reaching enemy archers before they get their volleys off.
  • Villagers automatically flee to the town centre when attacked. That only saves them if soldiers are standing there.
  • The population cap of 30 counts gatherers and soldiers together. Go to 20 villagers and the level becomes unwinnable — ten soldiers are not enough from level 3 onwards.
  • Attack waves arrive on a fixed timer, every 36 seconds in level 5. The gap between two waves is your window for a push of your own.

FAQ

How do you play Realm of the Crown?

Tap a unit to select it, then tap a target: a resource to gather, an open spot to build on, or an enemy to attack. Dragging pans the map, and the minimap in the top right jumps straight to a location. Every level ends at the enemy town centre.

How many levels does Realm of the Crown have?

Five. Each introduces exactly one new problem: first scheduled raiding parties, then enemy archers, then cavalry and a second enemy barracks, and finally all of it at once. Your highest level reached is stored locally in your browser.

What units are there?

Four. Villagers gather and build but barely defend themselves. Swordsmen are tough and cheap. Archers shoot from 130 pixels away but take little punishment. Riders are fast and hit hard, at a cost of 80 food and 40 gold.

Can I play Realm of the Crown on a phone?

Yes. The controls were built for touch from the start: tapping selects and issues orders, dragging pans the map, and the “Box” toggle switches dragging over to multi-select so both work without a mouse.

Is Realm of the Crown free?

Yes, completely free and with no sign-up. There are no in-game purchases, no units locked behind payment and no ad break before you start playing.

Is my progress saved?

The highest level you have completed is stored in your browser through the LocalStorage API and never leaves your device. Individual levels always start fresh — there is no mid-match save.
